The Appendicular Skeleton

The following tables have been prepared to assist you to take a complete set of radiographic views for each examination that you undertake. Additional views have been included for those circumstances where a routine examination doesn't provide all the required information.

The use of detail receptors [film and intensifying screens] is recommended when you radiograph the extremities of dogs and cats.

Appropriate exposure factors can be reliably reproduced when you have constructed an exposure chart for extremity radiography.

Visit the Technique Chart Construction homepage that is linked to the Online-vets homepage. It will show you how to optimise your radiographic technique for extremity radiography.
